Until now, a Pearl agent's daily activity requirement was set by its staking contract. Once an agent met the activity requirement for OLAS activity rewards, it stopped and sat idle until the next day. Operators who wanted their agents to do more had no way to ask for it in Pearl.
Now, operators can easily configure how much their agents can run each day. While the staking contract sets the minimum activity required to receive rewards, the operator can set a higher daily activity target, allowing even more activity.
Additionally, agents without a staking contract (such as Pearl Connect) now also have a daily activity target. This means users can have their Pearl Connect agents run automatically via Auto-run, like their other agents.
Moreover, these changes matter beyond each operator's own agents. These changes mean that, collectively, Pearl agents can produce more activity overall. And, since Pearl agents collaborate with other Olas agents (including via the Olas Marketplace) these changes could lead to much more activity on Olas.
Each agent has a default activity target set for you. If you’d like to customize it to your needs, follow these steps:
To check or change the target later, ask in the same chat.
Activity targets aren't always met, and more activity uses more of the agent's balance on fees and gas.
